A very close game took place in Pamplona between Navarra and Girona Basquet. First ranked Navarra (16-7) got a very close home victory over 3rd placed Girona Basquet (14-10). Navarra managed to escape with a 3-point win 73-70 on Wednesday evening. It was a great evening for forward Jose Jimenez (197-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points and 6 assists. Center Eduardo Hernandez-Sonseca (212-83) helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Sergi Costa (188-96) responded with 12 points and 4 assists and point guard Xavier Costa (192-84) scored 7 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Navarra maintains first place in Silver with 16-7 record. Newly promoted Girona Basquet dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Navarra will meet Almansa (#4) on the road in the next round. Girona Basquet will play against Marin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
