There was no surprise in Santander where 6th ranked Azuqueca (11-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Estela (14-9) 71-66 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was guard Pol Olivier (188-94, college: NW Nazarene) who scored 17 points and 4 assists. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Ignacio Ballespin (194-98) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Estela moved-up to second place in Silver. Azuqueca at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Estela will face league's leader HLA Alicante on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Azuqueca will play against Zamorano (#3) and hope to win that game.
