The biggest surprise of round 23 in LEB Silver was guest Real Murcia's (#2) easy road victory over Zamorano (14-9) 76-61 on Wednesday evening. It was a key game for the second position in Silver. The best player for the winners was guard Jose Gonzalez (187-94) who scored 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Nigerian forward Tosin Mehinti (206-94, college: UAB) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Real Murcia players scored in double figures. French point guard Sango Niang (183-93, college: Simon Fraser) produced 17 points and American forward Luke Meikle (206-94, college: Cal Poly - SLO) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Real Murcia maintains second place in Silver with 15-8 record having four points less than leader Lucentum. Zamorano at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Real Murcia are looking forward to face Azpeitia ISB (#5) at home in the next round. Zamorano will play against Azuqueca and is hoping to win this game.
