Regular Season Round 19: H.Jerusalem - Beer Sheva 89-79
Date: February 28, 2019
Rather predictable result when second ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (15-5) defeated at home 6th ranked Beer Sheva (10-10) 89-79. Hapoel Jerusalem shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Beer Sheva helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for Dominican-American James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard JCovan Brown (188-90, college: Texas) contributed with 25 points for the winners. American forward Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) answered with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Taylor Braun (201-91, college: N.Dakota St.) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Beer Sheva. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Hapoel Jerusalem. They maintain second place with 15-5 record behind leader Holon. Newly promoted Beer Sheva dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem's next round opponent will be Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#8) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Beer Sheva will play against Ironi Nahariya and hope to win that game.
