Regular Season Round 24: Viola RC - IUL Tiber 62-57

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Viola RC (17-7) won against 11th ranked IUL Tiber (10-14) in Reggio Calabria 62-57 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a good game for guard Vittorio Nobile (192-95) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Allen-Alogniku Agbogan (182-97, agency: Players Group) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the former international Federico Lestini (204-83, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 17 points in the effort for IUL Tiber. IUL Tiber's coach Renato Sabatino rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Viola RC moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser IUL Tiber dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Viola RC will face Scauri (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. IUL Tiber's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Roma to the arena Roma S.Azzurra.
