Very predictable result when third ranked Melilla Baloncesto (16-8) defeated at home 11th ranked Lleida Basquet (11-13) 83-72. They outrebounded Lleida Basquet 43-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Serbian center Darko Balaban (211-89, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Guard Txemi Urtasun (192-84) contributed with 11 points and 7 assists for the winners. Melilla Baloncesto's coach Alejandro Alcoba allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Senegalese center Papa Mbaye (209-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Adrian Chapela (192-94) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Lleida Basquet.
