Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Carramimbre (14-10) beat on the road 17th ranked Caceres Basket (6-19) 74-66. It was a good game for American center Bradley Hayes (213-94, college: Georgetown) who led his team to a victory with 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Alejandro Reyes (197-93) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Polish-American guard Andy Mazurczak (188-94, college: Wisc.-Parkside) replied with 17 points and Australian forward Dan Trist (206-92, college: Lafayette) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Caceres Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Carramimbre moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Huesca. Caceres Basket lost sixth consecutive game. Caceres Basket at the other side keeps the seventeenth position with 19 games lost. Carramimbre's next round opponent will be higher ranked Palencia Baloncesto (#7) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Caceres Basket will play against the league's leader Real Betis (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
