Regular Season Round 21: Fos-Provence - Chalon 76-73

Important game to mention about took place in Fos-sur-Mer. Seventeenth ranked Provence Basket (7-14) saved a 3-point victory at home edging higher ranked Chalon/Saor (9-13) 76-73 on Friday evening. It was a good game for power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Malik Hairston (198-87, college: Oregon) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Provence Basket's coach Remi Giuitta used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Colombian-Spanish power forward Juan Palacios (206-85) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Vincent Sanford (193-90, college: Dayton, agency: Inception Sports) added 16 points in the effort for Chalon/Saor. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Provence Basket moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Cholet. Chalon/Saor lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Provence Basket will face higher ranked Boulazac Basket (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
