No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Anwil (16-4) defeated on the road 13th ranked Spojnia Stargard (5-15) 91-75 on Saturday. Anwil dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Spojnia Stargard's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. American Chase Simon (201-89, college: Detroit Mercy) chipped in 19 points. Anwil's coach Igor Milicic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Rod Camphor (191-92, college: SW Oklahoma St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) produced 29 points and 8 rebounds and forward Hubert Pabian (201-89, agency: Promotex) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Anwil have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Polski Cukier. Newly promoted Spojnia Stargard dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Anwil will face AZS Koszalin (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Spojnia Stargard will play against HydroTruck Radom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
