Regular Season Round 19: Neptune - Killorglin 81-96

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eleventh ranked Killorglin (5-12) beat 10th ranked Neptune (5-13) in Cork 96-81. Killorglin players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. It was a great evening for Lithuanian-German swingman Daniel Jokubaitis (194-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Shaquille Dance (193-93, college: Limestone) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Darragh OSullivan (182-0) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Killorglin moved-up to tenth place. Neptune lost sixth consecutive game. Neptune at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Killorglin will play against higher ranked Belfast Star (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Neptune will play against UCD Marian (#3) in Dublin and hopes to get back on the winning track.
