The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-9. But Leche Rio Breogan won second period 20-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Slovakian forward Vladimir Brodziansky (210-94, college: TCU, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and international center Nacho Llovet (202-91) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Blusens Monbus players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Ukrainian power forward Volodymyr Herun (208-94, college: Portland) with 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American center Alec Brown (216-92, college: Green Bay) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Blusens Monbus moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Andorra. Newly promoted Leche Rio Breogan keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Blusens Monbus will face higher ranked La ICL Manresa (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leche Rio Breogan will play against Baskonia (#3) and hope to win that game.
