No shocking result in a game when third ranked Niki Lefkadas (10-6) smashed at home 9th ranked Sporting (6-10) 66-44 on Saturday. Niki Lefkadas held Sporting to an opponent 22.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.5 percent accuracy of the winners and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Niki Lefkadas had a 38-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sporting's coach Thanos Softsis gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Niki Lefkadas have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-6 record having six points less than leader Olympiacos. Newly promoted Sporting dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. Niki Lefkadas will meet Esperides (#5) in the next round. Sporting will play against Proteas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
