Regular Season Round 11: Olimpi - BC Titebi 86-83

The most exciting game of round 11 in the Superleague took place in Tbilisi. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked BC Titebi (4-7) to sixth ranked Olimpi (6-5) 86-83 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 47-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Olimpi forced 23 BC Titebi turnovers. Strangely BC Titebi outrebounded Olimpi 45-25 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Kaheem Ransom (185-93, college: Sam Houston St.) answered with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Cape Verdean-Portuguese forward Joel Almeida (195-85, college: Brockport St.) added 21 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for BC Titebi. Olimpi moved-up to fifth place, which they share with TSU-Hyundai. Newly promoted BC Titebi keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Cactus Tbilisi. Olimpi is looking forward to face Batumi (#9) on the road in the next round. BC Titebi will play against the league's leader Kutaisi and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
