Sixth-ranked Saitama Broncos (13-19) were very close to win a game against first ranked Tokyo Excel. (29-3) on Saturday. Tokyo Excel. managed to secure only three-point victory 94-91. However their fans expected much easier game. Tokyo Excel. forced 19 Saitama Broncos turnovers. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 18 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks. Yutaka Saito (194-80) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 23 rebounds and his fellow American import Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Tokyo Excel. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 29-3 record. Saitama Broncos lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 19 games lost.
