Very predictable result in Villaviciosa where fourth ranked Alcobendas (16-6) smashed 15th ranked Casvi (5-15) 87-51 on Saturday. Alcobendas had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Casvi was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Alejandro Fortes (204-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (197-89) helped adding 17 points. Alcobendas' coach Jose Antonio Ramirez felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. Danish guard Emil Hjorth (196-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Danish point guard Sebastian Dalsgaard (192-97) scored 3 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Alcobendas moved-up to third place in Group B. Casvi lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Alcobendas will face Daimiel (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Casvi will play against Lanzarote in Arrecife and hope to win that game.
