Regular Season Round 21: Strasbourg - Le Mans 77-75

A very interesting game took place in Strasbourg. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Le Mans (10-11) to eighth ranked SIG Strasbourg (12-9) 77-75 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Le Mans. SIG Strasbourg made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Senegalese center Youssoupha Fall (221-95) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Cameron Clark (201-91, college: Oklahoma) who recorded 22 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Kendrick Ray (188-94, college: Kennesaw St., agency: Pensack Sports) added 19 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SIG Strasbourg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Defending champion Le Mans dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. SIG Strasbourg's next round opponent will be Chalon/Saor (#13) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Le Mans will play against the league's leader ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and hope to win that game.
