Leading Flying Leopards (37-6) recorded its sixth loss in Yingkou. Hosts were defeated by thirteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (20-22) 120-113. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Flying Leopards. They outrebounded Flying Leopards 60-39 including a 40-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jilin Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Flying Leopards' players. Flying Leopards were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 22 rebounds and 11 assists and Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) who added 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. The former international Ailun Guo (192-93) responded with 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) scored 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Flying Leopards' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers maintains thirteenth position with 20-22 record. Defending champion Flying Leopards dropped to the second place with six games lost. Jilin Tigers will play against higher ranked Beijing Ducks (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Flying Leopards will play against Eagles (#15) in Qingdao and hope to get back on the winning track.
