Regular Season Round 45: Tokyo Z - Cyberdyne IR 65-75

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Tokyo Z (15-30) was defeated at home by second ranked Cyberdyne IR (29-16) 75-65 on Tuesday. Tokyo Z was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds and Australian power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Tokyo Z's coach Satoru Furuta tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cyberdyne IR have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 29-16 record having four points less than leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Hiroshima D. and Toyotsu FE. Tokyo Z lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 30 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will face league's leader Gunma on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tokyo Z will play against the league's leader Shinshu BW (#1) in Nagano and hope to win that game.
