Regular Season Round 20: Orleans - Paris 86-76
Date: March 5, 2019
Very expected game when 11th ranked Paris (9-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked Entente Orleans 45 (15-5) 86-76 on Tuesday. Entente Orleans 45 forced 21 Paris turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: MSU Denver, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists and the other American import swingman Brandon Spearman (191-91, college: Hawaii) who added 25 points during the contest. Spearman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Nick Kellogg (190-91, college: Ohio) responded with 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and naturalized Mali center Moustapha Diarra (205-87, college: USF) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Paris' coach Jean-Christophe Prat rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Entente Orleans 45 have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Nancy and Roanne. Newly promoted Paris dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will face league's leader Sluc Nancy at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Paris will play against the league's second-placed Chorale de Roanne (#2) and hope to win that game.
