Second Stage Round 2: Trouville - Defensor 82-73

Trouville defeated Defensor in Montevideo 82-73. They outrebounded Defensor 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. Center Paul Harrison (203-89, college: N.Greenville) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Donald Robinson (193-89, college: W.Virginia Tech) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Trouville players scored in double figures. Trouville's coach Alvaro Tito used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Anthony Young (200-89, college: Ky Wesleyan) added 15 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Defensor. Defensor will play next round against strong Nacional trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena of Nacional. Trouville will try to continue on its current victory against Aguada. It will be extra interesting game as Aguada is their local rival from Montevideo.
