The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sluc Nancy as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sluc Nancy defeated 18th ranked C'Chartres at home 88-71. Sluc Nancy looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and American-Venezuelan point guard John Cox (195-81, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. American power forward Jason Jones (203-86, college: Northeastern St.) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Aubrey Coleman (193-87, college: Houston, agency: Haylett Sports) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sluc Nancy (15-5) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Orleans and Roanne. C'Chartres lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. C'Chartres will play next round against Lille Metropole trying to get back on the winning streak.
