Fifteenth-ranked Quimper UJAP (6-14) gave a tough game to eighth ranked ADA Blois (10-9) on Tuesday. ADA Blois managed to secure only two-point victory 91-89. However their fans expected much easier game. ADA Blois dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Quimper UJAP's 34. They outrebounded Quimper UJAP 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. ADA Blois looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Swingman Florian Thibedore (195-90) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) produced 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Lucas Dussoulier (203-96) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Five ADA Blois and four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. ADA Blois maintains eighth position with 10-9 record, which they share with Nantes. Quimper UJAP lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Aix-Maurienne. ADA Blois will meet Caen (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Quimper UJAP will play against JA Vichy and hope to secure a win.
