Twelfth-ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-16) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Galil Gilboa (9-11) in Rosh Pina on Thursday. Galil Gilboa managed to secure only one-point victory 90-89. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 57-53 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Greg Whittington (203-93, college: Georgetown) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and forward James Kelly (201-93, college: Marshall) who added 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard James Robinson (190-94, college: Pittsburgh) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Galil Gilboa moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rishon. Bnei Hasharon lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Galil Gilboa will meet higher ranked Hapoel Eilat (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Rishon (#6) in Rishon Le-Zion and hope to secure a win.
