Regular Season Round 15: Champville - Homentmen 96-80

There was a change at the LBL leadership position after last games. Round 15 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Homentmen (10-3). They were defeated by second ranked Champville (11-2) 96-80 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Homentmen. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Champville made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Homentmen 50-32 including a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) helped adding 30 points. Four Champville players scored in double figures. Champville's coach Fuad Abou Chakra used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) with 34 points (!!!) and Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Champville have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Homentmen dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Champville.
