There was an upset when higher ranked CB Granada (15-10) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Lleida Basquet (12-13) 78-70 on Friday. Point guard Sergi Quintela (182-96) fired 18 points for the winners. Bahamas center Shaquille Cleare (203-93, college: Texas) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Lleida Basquet players scored in double figures. The former international center Guillem Rubio (202-82) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) added 11 points respectively for lost side. CB Granada's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lleida Basquet maintains eleventh place with 12-13 record. Newly promoted CB Granada dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Lleida Basquet will face Real Canoe (#14) in Madrid in the next round.
