Regular Season Round 2: Forestville E. - Woodville W. 123-98

Very expected game when Woodville Warriors (0-2) were smashed by Forestville Eagles (2-0) in Goodwood 123-98 on Friday. Forestville Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Woodville Warriors' 48. Forestville Eagles looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Woodville Warriors' players. Michael Harris orchestrated the victory by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Guard Brendan Teys (188-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Luke Stanbridge (192-90) replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Jonathan Perry (193-91, college: Dallas Baptist) added 26 points in the effort for Woodville Warriors. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Forestville Eagles will face Central District Lions (#4) in Gawler in the next round. Woodville Warriors will play on the road against Eastern Mavericks (#9) in Mt. Barker and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
