No shocking result in a game when North Adelaide Rockets (2-0) beat Sturt Sabres (0-3) in Pasadena 93-78 on Friday. North Adelaide Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Sturt Sabres' 34. North Adelaide Rockets forced 20 Sturt Sabres turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Tobias Dowdell (201-90, college: Alders.-Broad.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import forward Alexander Starling (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four North Adelaide Rockets players scored in double figures. Dylan Rawson replied with 21 points and forward Rigby Aktanarowicz added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sturt Sabres. North Adelaide Rockets will face Norwood Flames in Marden in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sturt Sabres will play on the road against West Adelaide Bearcats (#5) in Woodville and hope to win that game.
