We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Wizards (27-39) lost to fifth ranked Timberwolves (31-35) in Washington 130-135. Timberwolves made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. Guard Derrick Rose (190-88, college: Memphis) chipped in 29 points. Timberwolves' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Bradley Beal (196-93, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Trevor Ariza (203-85, college: UCLA) added 27 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Timberwolves and four Wizards players scored in double figures. Timberwolves maintains fifth place with 31-35 record. Wizards at the other side keep the fourth position with 39 games lost. Timberwolves' next day opponent will be Knicks (#5) in New York City.
