Top ranked Tarragona (16-4) recorded its fourth loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Igualada (15-5) 73-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tarragona. Strangely Tarragona outrebounded Igualada 47-31 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Tarragona helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Eduard Tejero (196-92) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Jordi Torres (188-83) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center Ferran Torres (201-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and guard Adria Duch (185-95) added 20 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Igualada have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group C-A with 15-5 record having just eight point less than leader Lliria. Newly promoted Tarragona still keeps top place with four games lost. They share the position with Quart. Igualada are looking forward to face league's second-placed Quart at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tarragona will play against Valls Nutrion and is hoping to win this game.
