Very expected game when 7th ranked Aulnoye (9-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Angers (12-4) 73-66 on Saturday. Swingman Elise Prodhomme (180-89) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and Canadian-Serbian forward Stephany Skrba (188-87, college: Michigan) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Stepha MBaye (182-95) responded with 24 points and American Shanavia Dowdell (188-87, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Angers. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Toulouse. Newly promoted Aulnoye keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Angers will face COB Calais (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aulnoye will play against Montbrison and hope to win that game.
