Seventh-ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (12-8) was very close to win a game against third ranked Artego Bydg. (16-4) in Bydgoszcz on Saturday. Artego Bydg. managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Artego Bydg. outrebounded AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski 36-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Artego Bydg. made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian-Bosnian center Dragana Stankovic (195-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Artego Bydg. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Energa Torun. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski lost third consecutive game.
