Regular Season Round 27: WKK Wroclaw - Polfarmex Kutno 85-88

A very close game took place in Wroclaw between Polfarmex and WKK Wroclaw. Fourteenth ranked Polfarmex (10-17) got a very close victory on the road over 4th placed WKK Wroclaw (15-12). Polfarmex managed to escape with a 3-point win 88-85 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Polfarmex dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to WKK Wroclaw's 32. The best player for the winners was power forward Michal Marek (208-96) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard January Sobczak (179-97) chipped in 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Polfarmex moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Ksiezak Lowicz. Newly promoted WKK Wroclaw keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. They share it with GKS Tychy and STK Czarni. Polfarmex will meet at home higher ranked Sokol Lancut (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. WKK Wroclaw will play against Pruszkow and hope to secure a win.
