Regular Season Round 43: Kyoto Hannar. - Osaka Evessa 75-77

A very interesting game took place in Kyoto. It ended with only two-point home defeat of much higher ranked Kyoto Hannar. (24-19) to fourth ranked Osaka Evessa (17-26) 77-75 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kyoto Hannar.. They outrebounded Kyoto Hannar. 42-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. Osaka Evessa players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Pape Faye (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) contributed with 8 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. American center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) added 21 points and 7 assists in the effort for Kyoto Hannar.Osaka Evessa maintains fourth place with 17-26 record, which they share with San-en. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side keeps the second position with 19 games lost. Osaka Evessa will have a break next round. Kyoto Hannar. will play again at home against Osaka Evessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
