No shocking result in a game when first ranked Shinshu BW (37-9) beat 5th ranked Tokyo Z (15-31) in Nagano 68-55 on Saturday. Shinshu BW forced 19 Tokyo Z turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shinshu BW made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for American swingman Richard Roby (198-85) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Australian power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and guard Tatsuya Nishiyama (171-88) added 14 points in the effort for Tokyo Z. Shinshu BW maintains first position with 37-9 record. Tokyo Z lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 31 games lost. Shinshu BW will face again Tokyo Z (#5) at home in the next round.
