Very expected game when 11th ranked Kymis (4-14) was defeated at home by fifth ranked PAOK (12-6) 90-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by PAOK. Kymis was better in fourth quarter 32-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kymis to just 7 points in third quarter. PAOK dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kymis' 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Kymis' players. International Linos-Spyridon Chrysikopoulos (206-92) scored 29 points to lead the charge for the winners and Central African-American power forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard JeQuan Lewis (185-94, college: VCU) with 20 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Scott Suggs (197-89, college: Washington) scored 18 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. PAOK moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Peristeri GS and Promitheas. Loser Kymis dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. PAOK will face Ifestos (#7) in Keratsiniou in the next round. Kymis will play on the road against AEK in Athens and hope to win that game.
