Regular Season Round 46: Tokyo HT - Kagawa FA 85-99

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Tokyo HT (9-38) lost at home to sixth ranked Kagawa FA (15-31) 99-85 on Saturday. Kagawa FA shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Quite impressive performance for guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Eric Thompson (204-93, college: Pacific) contributed with 9 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and forward Cleanthony Early (203-91, college: Wichita St.) added 25 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo HT. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kagawa FA moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tokyo Z. Newly promoted Tokyo HT keeps the sixth position with 38 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
