There was no surprise in San Martino di L where 13th ranked San Martino (7-16) was defeated by ninth ranked Milano (10-13) 67-55 on Saturday. Milano made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Spanish forward Maria Royo (178-86) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Greta Visigalli (172-99) helped adding 9 points. Center Beatrice Baldi (185-0) responded with 8 points and 11 rebounds and Francesca Pasa scored 10 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Milano maintains ninth place in A2 with 10-13 record. Loser San Martino dropped to the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Milano will face league's second-placed Costa Masnaga at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Martino will play against Bolzano BK (#8) and hope to win that game.
