Very expected game in Tbilisi where 10th ranked Rustavi (1-11) was defeated by fifth ranked TSU-Hyundai (7-5) 77-65. The game was mostly controlled by TSU-Hyundai. Rustavi was better in fourth quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for international guard Sandro Sanadze (190-95) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Marcus Posley (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Isaac Banks (201-94, college: E.Tenn.St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Egyptian forward Ahmed Hamdy (206-93, college: TCU, agency: ISE) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Rustavi. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted TSU-Hyundai maintains fifth position with 7-5 record. Rustavi lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. TSU-Hyundai's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Cactus Tbilisi.
