Regular Season Round 22: Boulazac - Fos-sur-Mer 86-81

No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked Boulazac (9-13) defeated at home bottom-ranked Fos-sur-Mer (4-18) 86-81. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Boulazac forced 31 Fos-sur-Mer turnovers and outrebounded them 29-18. Forward Dylan Affo-Mama (196-99) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Paul Billong (193-1) supported him with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Boulazac players scored in double figures. Boulazac's coach Bertrand Parvaud allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) by guard Nadjib Benhamza (190-98) did not help to save the game for Fos-sur-Mer. Bahamas point guard Dominick Bridgewater (180-0) added 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for lost side. Boulazac moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Nanterre. Newly promoted Fos-sur-Mer dropped to the bottom position with 18 games lost. Boulazac's next round opponent will be Le Portel (#15) on the road. Fos-sur-Mer will play against Nanterre and hope to win that game.
