Very predictable result when third ranked Ardoi (16-5) defeated at home 10th ranked Mataro Parc (7-14) 70-61 on Saturday. Argentinian forward Maria Lineira (182-83) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Iranzu Echeverria (-93) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Judy Jones (175-90, college: Grand Canyon) with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Silvia Diao (-94) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Newly promoted Ardoi maintains third place in Group A with 16-5 record having just three points less than leader Campus Promete. Mataro Parc at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Ardoi will face league's leader Real Celta Vigo on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mataro Parc will play against Rioja (#4) and hope to win that game.
