Very important is a road loss of first ranked Pardinyes-L. (17-3) against twelfth ranked Martinenc (7-13) on Saturday night. Visiting Pardinyes-L. was defeated by Martinenc in a tough game in Barcelona 67-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pardinyes-L.. Strangely Pardinyes-L. outrebounded Martinenc 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by center Angel Garcia (-88) who scored that evening 19 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Aitor Perez (203-88) supported him with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Martinenc players scored in double figures. Martinenc's coach Hugo Gonzalez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds by power forward Juan Oliva (204-97) did not help to save the game for Pardinyes-L.. American swingman Wendell Davis (198-95, college: Ashland, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Martinenc moved-up to eleventh place in Group C-B, which they share with Sant Josep. Pardinyes-L. at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost.
