Bottom-ranked Breidablik managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against sixth-ranked Haukar in Hafnarfjordur 86-70. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 16-point difference proves that Breidablik was well-prepared to that game. Breidablik outrebounded Haukar 47-33 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ivory Crawford (178-92, college: Illinois) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and Serbian-Hungarian swingman Sanja Orozovic (186-90) who added 18 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Crawford is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Breidablik players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international forward Rosa Petursdottir (174-97) with 26 points and 5 rebounds and international point guard Thora Jonsdottir (171-97) scored 6 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Haukar's coach Olof Helga Palsdottir rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Breidablik maintains eighth position with 3-21 record. Defending champion Haukar keeps the sixth place with 16 games lost. Breidablik will play against league's leader Valur in Reykjavik in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Haukar will play on the road against the league's second-placed Keflavik (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
