There was no surprise when bottom-ranked CFBB (0-24) was outleveled by tenth ranked La Rochelle (12-13) in Paris 83-60 on Saturday. La Rochelle dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 18. La Rochelle forced 21 CFBB turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. CFBB was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Lithuanian swingman Mantas Ruikis (194-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. Naturalized Algerian guard Faycal Sahraoui (186-79) contributed with 8 points and 10 assists for the winners. Four La Rochelle players scored in double figures. Point guard Milan Barbitch (185-1) replied with 14 points and guard Timothe Crusol (192-1) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for CFBB. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. La Rochelle moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Lorient and Vitre. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with 24 games lost.
