Regular Season Round 138: Phoenix Suns - Golden St.W. 115-111

Very important is a road loss of first ranked Warriors (45-21) against fifth ranked Suns (16-52) on Sunday night. Visiting Warriors were defeated by Suns in a tough game in Phoenix 111-115. Suns made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Warriors were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Devin Booker (198-96, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 11 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Bahamas center DeAndre Ayton (216-98, college: Arizona) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Bahamas-American guard Klay Thompson (201-90, college: Washington St.) who recorded 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Stephen Curry (190-88, college: Davidson) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Warriors' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Suns maintains fifth position with 16-52 record. Defending champion Warriors still keep top place with 21 games lost.
