There was no surprise when 13th ranked Teramo (7-15) was outleveled on the road by ninth ranked Giulianova (11-12) 83-61 on Sunday. It was a good game for point guard Mattia Cardellini (179-91) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Alessandro Azzaro (202-93) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Giulianova players scored in double figures. Giulianova's coach Cesare Ciocca felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Andrea LaGioia (193-86) replied with 20 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and forward Simone Aromando (200-97) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Teramo. Giulianova maintains ninth position with 11-12 record. Loser Teramo dropped to the twelfth place with 15 games lost. Giulianova will have a break next round. Teramo will play at home against Nardo (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
