Bottom-ranked B.Yehuda (0-23) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 93-71 loss to ninth ranked Ramat Hasharon (8-15) in Tel Aviv on Monday evening. Ramat Hasharon outrebounded B.Yehuda 45-29 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Linnae Harper (173-95, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and American guard Sydney Wiese (185-95, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) who added 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Ramat Hasharon's coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Shayla Cooper (188-95, college: Ohio St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Loryn Goodwin (175-94, college: Oklahoma St.) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ramat Hasharon maintains ninth position with 8-15 record. Loser B.Yehuda still closes the standings. Ramat Hasharon will meet at home higher ranked Raanana (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. B.Yehuda will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and hopes to get finally their first victory.
