Another upset was a game between Sturgeons (26-20) and Sharks (24-22), which took place in Jinjiang. Higher ranked Sturgeons were outleveled at home by eleventh ranked Sharks 124-89 on Wednesday. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who led the winners and scored 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) accounted for 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Sharks players scored in double figures. International Zhelin Wang (214-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and the former international forward LinJian Chen (198-93) added 18 points respectively for Sturgeons in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Guangzhou LL and Jilin NE T. Loser Sturgeons keep the seventh position with 20 games lost. They share it with Shandong GS.
