Regular Season Round 142: Sacramento K. - Boston C. 120-126
Date: March 14, 2019
An interesting game for Celtics (42-27) which played road game in Sacramento against their close opponent Kings (33-34). Third ranked Celtics managed to get a 6-point victory 126-120. Celtics looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Australian-American guard Kyrie Irving (190-92, college: Duke) notched a triple-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the effort and forward Marcus Morris (206-89, college: Kansas) supported him with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Even 34 points (!!!) and 7 assists by Bahamas guard Buddy Hield (193-93, college: Oklahoma) did not help to save the game for Kings. Guard DeAaron Fox (192-97, college: Kentucky) added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Celtics moved-up to second place, which they share with Oklah.City T. Loser Kings keep the third position with 34 games lost. Celtics will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kings will play against the league's second-placed 76ers in Philadelphia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
