The biggest surprise of round 22 was guest IR's (10-12) road victory over 7th ranked Grindavik (9-13) 85-81 on Thursday evening. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 44-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Kevin Capers (188-93, college: Florida Southern) fired 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international center Sigurdur Thorsteinsson (204-88) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Sigtryggur-Arnar Bjornsson (180-93, college: St.Mary's) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Olafur Olafsson (194-90) added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side.
