An interesting game for Ashdod (17-6) which hosted in Ashdod 4th placed Maccabi Ramat Gan (14-9). First ranked Ashdod managed to get a 13-point victory 90-77. Ashdod made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Ashdod had a 12-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American point guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St.) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winners and her fellow American import center Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds. Ashdod's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-92, college: Florida St.) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American swingman Alex Harden (180-93, college: Wichita St.) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Ashdod and four Maccabi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. Ashdod have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-6 record. Maccabi Ramat Gan at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost.
